I just got home with this awesome new framed print of a photo I took while out in the field with Phil. In person this picture looks really nice. It is 3 feet long and 2 feet tall!
It is printed on water proof Epson paper that will retain its quality for over 200 years.
BC recently got a printer that is KILLER! A 3 foot by 2 foot photo costs about $50.00 for the print. Considering each of the 8 ink cartridges costs $90.00 a piece and the historical paper is so expensive, I considered this a great deal.
BC had some frames sitting around that cost $50.00, so a person could get a similar package deal for $100.00, or just pay $50.00 for the print and come up with their own frame.
Anyhow, I am very happy with my new huge photo. I don't think Liz is all that happy, especially since I am talking about hanging it above our bed...just kidding!(LOL)

Will

I suggest hanging it in the front room somewhere where you enter your house. That way it will be one of the first things that guests see as they come visit. A lot of guys have a deer head or a stuffed bass on the wall in this situation and this falls right in line with the concept of a trophy from the Great Outdoors. Of course its much cooler than the usual trophy fare and unlike the deer and bass the mud snake is still very much alive!

Thanks Phil and Barry.
I just finished hanging it in my Command Center/Office right above my two computers. This way I can pause to look at it as I answer e-mails and do my other office tasks. Call me selfish, but I wanted to hang it where I would see it most often...and it also looks good hung up on these red walls!
Due to their secretive nature, I suspect that this snake is alive AND the belly full of eggs that it had are now safely deposited and about to hatch. This big fat gravid snake was disturbed as little as possible in order to obtain the photo and is sure to be doing well at this time.
Phil, with some luck we will top that effort later this year. I have room for one more of these huge photos in my Command Center!(LOL)

Pat,
When you compare the clarity of the photo in the picture be sure to gauge it with the clarity of me. Note that I am awfully blurry and remember that in person I do not appear blurry unless one is drunk or missing their glasses!(LOL) Will

Cool shot, but expensive.

I can get a print of 24"x36" for $35. Granted, it might not be on that expensive paper, but then again, I'm not going to live 200 years!

This is what I'm going to get printed up:
